Default 1976 Camaro - eyeing one. Thoughts on this year?

There is a 1976 Camaro for sale from a friend of the family. Literally an older couple that took this out for Sunday drives. The seller told me the valve cover gasket leaks.

What is a good price for this car (v8 350)? He wants $2000.

I don't see a lot of posts for this year. Is this a "bad" year for this car?

i think they were just kind of a less desirable year cuz of the big bumpers..

I agree the bumpers are a major turn off for the cars that are otherwise good looking.

Some people don't like the Big Bumpers, but $2000 sounds like a good price with the 350 motor. My dad and his friend both owned '75 Type LT's and they were okay, I would prefer a 70-73 or my favorite year 78-81. Good luck.

If you don't buy it...next year you will be questioning yourself as to why..."dang I should have bought that car"...it's not like they are as plentiful as hondas anymore....I only saw a handful of second gens on the road last summmer....

Can you take off the bumpers and replace them from the 78-81 camaro nose/bumpers?

I am about to pick one up this weekend and I would like to interchange the bumpers if possible. I had an 81 z28 and they look so much better I think.

I've got a '74 if you need photos to look at how everything hooks up.
