Hi,

I'm looking for a Bird's Eye Maple wood grain dash instrument cluster bezel for my recently purchased 1975 Camaro (see below link to a picture of one in my original Camaro taken in 1975 - wish I still had THAT Camaro). If anyone has one please let me know.

I know that '75 was the first year that GM put the Bird's Eye Maple dash bezel in the Camaro. Was it available in subsequent model years AND what year dash instrument bezels are compatible with '75? Any links to this info on the internet ?

Birds eye maple? I think they were faux myrtlewood. Pretty sure they were introduced in 1970 or '71. 1970-78 will fit, but I think 1973-78 are the same.

 

Do you still have an instrument cluster bezel in you new camaro?
I would think a good wood crafting shop could make a copy of it from real wood. Maby a bit thicker tho.

 

Might be able to make it from wood, but the problem would be the various areas for headlight sw. and wiper sw. that would be too thick to attach with the threads on those pieces.
Might find someplace that can vacuum form overlays, or a sign shop that does complete overlays and could recover the existing dash with an overlay of similar faux wood vinyl.
