Default 1974 Camaro project

This is my 1974 Camaro project. I bought this car for $1,000 in September 2006. I'm only 17, so I can't get this done as fast as I'd like to. I have $5,000 for an engine right now, but it's not enough to get the car running. I'm going to need at least $8,000 more to complete the car. I'm making money supprisingly fast though, so the car should be finished in about a year. For the most part, the car just sits in my garage and collects dust. My schedule is too busy to work on it as much as I'd like to.
Any comments/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I dont think those rims will work with the car once it has an engine in it, I will trade you for some that will works though. lol J/K. Looks like you have your work cut out for you, good luck. What size engine is that?

Youdon't need to spend $5K on an engine if you're looking to get the car up and running soon.look fora decent, "broke in"engine for less $$ and run the crapout of it and put the $$ into whatever else that car needs.I know two seperate parties that spent under $1500.00 and got a very good, completesmall block 350 at the bone yard. Both engines needed to be cleaned up but most of them do anyway. A car that's a littleslower off the line is a lot more fun than one collecting dust in the garage.
Have fun!

dude youve got a very decent and complete looking car there,id say get it up and running for cheap and see what kind of problems arise, keep some money for spare cause trust me there is bound to be something extra if youve never driven the car before,i got lucky i got mine STRIPPED and had it going $1500 later,it was:
$600 junkyard 4-barrel 350
$200 700 R-4 tranny
$100 interior (everything from a junkyard,but nice)
$100 exhaust,used headers,turbo mufflers and 2-1/2 pipe
$100 brakes
$100 wheels and tires (crager five spokes like yours actually...thanks junkyard=)
$150 B&M megashifter
I mightve missed some little things but thats the jist of it when it was going...this was my first muscle car so it was plenty of power to learn on and drive the car...and as time went on the part list went on as well!

looks good, with 5 grand you should have it running in no time, just get a 350 and throw it in,add some parts as you go. With that kind of cash you should have no problem havin a motor built up nice.Just let us know what you do.

Only do things once! Make sure you know what you want.

That will be a nice car.

Just a 350. I wont ever be able to get it looking and running like I want it to, so it's going in a dune buggy. I'm buying a 350 HO from http://www.sdpc2000.com.

Do you have a URL for anywhere I can get a complete GM Goodwrench engine for less than that?
