1969 Camaro shocks

Currently have Monroe Sensa Trac shocks with 4 leaf rear springs. Car tends to ride very stiff. Any ideas what shocks to try for a smoother ride?

i have 8 leaf leaf springs in back with gaberal gas shocks, it rides pretty good, a little stiff but nothing thats overley brutal
