Parking Brake

Parking Brake
I bought this 4 years ago on EBay, in poor condition, and now have most of the things done I want to do. I've been saving this little nightmare. The picture shows how the previous genius left the parking brake. Everything from here back is connected and operational. I was wondering if they make some kind of splice that I could crimp on, after tieing the frayed ends togeather, then add the last few inches to the pedal to finish the job. Also, I have not found any pictures that show how the end ties into the pedal. I could figure it out I'm sure but would prefer not to guess. If it can't be splice, I have no choice but to remove the fender and replace the entire piece. Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks, Mitch
