radiator
 

I need a new radiator for my 68,I cant decide between an oversizedaluminum or astock replacment.I just want to keep the car cool.If anyone has any info, it would be greatly appreciated.

It depends on whether originality is important to you or not. The stock radiator can do an alright job for a stock engine. But for a performance engine, and for keeping things as cool as possible, nothing beats a good aluminum radiator.

I would go with a 3row performance aluminum radiator. I made the mistake of buying the 4 row big block radiator for my 454ci and once I installed the procharger (im not saying you will) it was worthless. I ended up putting a high performance radiator in mine anyways. Best the bang for your buck and saving some money just in case.

well its not a 3 row but i'd go with a Ron Davis yeah it'll run you about 2K but it'll support 750HP for drag and 550-600 all day... if you want whenI replace mine with the Davis unit i'll send you my stocker for free if you pay for shipping... that might be awhile though. Ron islocal to me and builds drag radiators and replacement ones, o also off road and sprint cars.

Ron Davis makes awesome stuff...but you pay for it! I would love to have one but it wasn't in the budget. I opted to go with a Big Block, direct fit by Be-Cool. I live it Las Vegas and so far it's doing a great job. Larger volume and more cooling area for the coolant equal better cooling. So it doesn't hurt to have more than you need.

i have a be cool aluminum radiator with 2500 cfm electric fan in my car im running about 425 horse and it works great for me, aluminum is the way to go in my opinion.
