automatic to manual conversion
hello i have a 69 camaro with a 327 3 speed auto i want to convert it to a manual i can get the kit from camaro central for 3195 with a m20 or m21 and for 999 more a m22 my question is do you have to change the driveshaft also or just put a new slip yolk on any help on this is greatly appreciated

The length difference is if the auto is a THM400, meaning a shorter shaft and a THM400 crossmember will be needed as all the rest of trans, manual and auto, use the same shaft and crossmember.
Output shaft splines will tell the story, whether fine (26?) vs (10?) coarse, then a change of yoke.
Also, speedo outlet may be a problem , only if one is on pass side and cable is drvr side length.

If you're going to do the Muncie, get the M20 wide ratio. It has a more street friendly first gear. For regular driving, you dont need the straight cut gears in the M22. If you have a
T350 in it now, you can reuse the transmission cross member and driveshaft.
$3200 for an auto to four-speed conversion kit seems kind of steep. For that kind of money, you should consider a 5 speed TKO conversion kit.
The kits are relatively uniform, so go online and shop for price. Places like Summit Racing and Jegs come to mind, but there are plenty of others.
