Which Leaf Springs?

Picked up a nice 68 but has a 10 bolt rear end with a mono leaf
Found a correct 12 bolt posi with multi leaf perches
Wondering if I should get 4 or 5 leaf rear springs
My 69 Z had 4 I believe, and I always thought it sat too low for my liking,
The 15 inch tires rubbed if you had passengers
This 68 at least the tires will not rub either way
Any thoughts on which ones to get?
Thank You

I'm thinking 5 might ride like a dump truck, pretty sure when I swapped out a 10 bolt singe leaf for a 12 bolt multi leaf in my old '69 it was 4 leaf but that was over 40 years ago.
Seems from reading the forums others here have found new leafs ride higher than they expected, something to consider.

Leaf Springs

If you live in Central California there is a spring manufacture in Visalia, Hellwig. They will give you tech help and install the springs and you can determine if the height and ride is what you want. They might have info for you via a phone call, (559) 734-7451. Blessings, Larry

I have seen 150 lb. 175 and 200 lb. springs for sale for old Camaros
Mine has air shocks on it now, to keep the 15 inch rear tires from rubbing
I want to go up in the rear and loose the air shocks. I will buy the 200 lb. 5 leaf springs
I believe they are talking one inch drop from unspring with 200 lbs
Means if the rear of the Camaro weighs 1200 lbs. the car would drop 3 inches
And a 150 lb spring would drop 4 inches
The rear of a Camaro most likely weighs more than 1200 lbs.

I am not familiar with leaf springs. Several years ago I built a 60 El Camino and changed the rear end and springs and took the car to Hellwig and they dialed it in for me. Were you going to contact them for help? The weight of an assembled Camaro is definitely more than 1200 lbs. but when you remove the rear end assembly with the springs and the engine and transmission, the weight may be down around 1200 to 1500 lbs. I do not have tech data to verify. Wishing you much success on your choice.
Blessings,
Larry

Camaro about 3200-3300 lbs wet
I was figuring 1200 lbs on the rear tires only to figure out what spring rate he needs
