69 Camro - Rear suspension
My 1969 Camaro is sitting lower on the rear driver side vs the passenger side by about 1 1/2" to 2" measuring of the tires. I assume it was the leaf springs and replaced them with Hotchkis multiple leafsprings. But have the same problem. Do I need to take it in to a frame shop oris there something else I need to look at? The shackles and bushings were all replaced when the new springs were installed. The front end is sitting a little high. This is due to the addition of a LS1 with less weight. Any ideas?

RE: 69 Camro - Rear suspension
you should take a good look under your car and examine both sides of your rear frame (inside and out). if you replaced all you said you did and the car is still sagging, really the only other thing could be a rotted out and/or cracked frame if there is no visible accident damage
good luck and let us know what you find |
RE: 69 Camro - Rear suspension
Look at the body-to-frame mounts; could be the body collapsing around the frame-mount....it happened on my '79 Jeep.
