Starting to see some progress on my car from the painter. Looks like I may be getting it back to set on the suspension within a month or so now.Name: 69-2008-1024001.jpg

After the body work on the shell is finished, Mark is going to paint the bottom, jambs, and firewall and trunk. He will then give it back to me and I will install all the suspension. Afterwards, he will reinstall and align all the sheetmetal. After we are pleased with the fit, he will then disassemble it again and final paint. Then I get to do my thing.....

Right quarter looks great now. I am glad I repaired it instead of replacing it now.

I would guess I will be putting suspension back on it within a month now. The bottom, firewall, trunk and jambs will be painted soon.....Well, I hope anyhow.

I am a huge fan of the original SS style wheels on these cars. The pro-touring look is okay for some, but I am going for the more original/sleeper look. I know, if I really wanted a sleeper, it would have steelies and dog-dishes, but anymore that just screams COPO so I am going for the more tame original SS look. I may tire of them, but I am going to build it that way for now.

I am going to try to run P245-60-14's all the way around......Hope they fit okay.

thats cool I've been trying to sell my camaro (this economy is killing me) but its looking like its not gonna happen so I'm running power to a shop that should be 20x30 so i have plenty of room to totally take my car apart on the weekends and go crazy on my camaro.

I heard that. My company just cut 25% of it's workforce last week, and we are looking at loosing an additional 30-35% between now and february. I know I will be in the next group cut, so I am most likely going to have to leave the area to work. I really was hoping to get my final 10 years in so I could retire, but I am not going to hold my breath now. I am seriously considering selling either my camaro or my '57 just to help pay things off that much quicker.

The Camaro has come a long way and is looking great, I'd hate to see you have to sell it. Post a pic of the 57 if you can, I like to see it just for fun. If you did as good a job on it as you have been on the Camaro it has to be a killer ride as well.
We are all going throught the same ordeal right now. The company I work for has laid off 75% of our work force due to lack of work. We went 6 months with no contracts earlier this year, I thought I was gonna be gone but was able to stay under that radar long enough to see some more work come around. Now we've picked up about 3 years in contracts so I'm good for at least that long. Keep up the good work and hang in there.

I just got a job with the VA, its minimum wage but its also extremely flexible and works great with increasing college work loads (it seems like all the teachers have an alliance to make every large project due the same week). that plus my GI bill will give me the money i need to last when school is out and I'm not being paid.

Let me re-phrase that. They DID cut several of us this week...... And I did sell my '57 last night.......well, not sure if "Sell" is the right word.....

Things will turn around. Recessions end, like bull markets.
