yea well I think of candy for "candy apples"....my fav as a kid from the fairs I used to go to........we had a hometown festival.
ok time for an update. So last weekend we got the rear axle all ready to go back on. New brake line attached, tightened the springs, filled her with gear lube and put the shiney new dif cover on. Getting the back half of the rear axle connected is a breeze.
And then we caught a snag. Trying to get the new bushing compressed and into the shakles........is not an easy task. So the 1st thing to go was the gas tank.
Other than that I got my bump stops put back on and I made 2 discoveries. One bad and one good. 1st the bad. I discovered that my column shifter and blinker lever is gone. I had polished them sometime last year and taken them to my body guy to have clearcoated. I have looked and looked thru all my stuff and its not there......*sigh*.....Well they must have gotten set somewhere at his shop and now he is out of business and my stuff is gone. Ok now the good news. I discovered that I did not throw my old brakeline away and I have all the clips and brackets to attach the new brake line with. So we got them cleaned up and painted. But that's all for today. We had to stop because my hubby the Squid cut his thumb badly on the back of the car.

hahaha well I thought about it but decided against the thumb.
Well the squid got the rest of the rear suspension up in and connected. So now we can do the rest of the brakeline and the exhaust.
Now I just gotta clean up my gas tank.

Well at this rate it wont be very useful to steal her. Its such a slow process when you're trying to work and make a living at the same time. Well after about an hour I figured out just how to get my brakeline snaked in and around the frame rails. It takes 2 people....lol. Sunday we are gonna finish and get the exhaust on. Pics to come.
