Just installed Hurst shifter in a 1967 w/console. Hurst #3914339-3734529 fits. the original shifter plate in console. It's close, but fits. Hurst said the 69 Hurst shifter sits 2 far forward about 3/4 inch I think he said. Without a console it might be OK

She's coming along. Hows come you moved the alternator to passenger side, didn't like the long belt throw?

It came that way to me, its not a number matching car and someone put a 69 350 in there. I have thought about switching it back to the stock location when I do the water pump but I really don't have a good reason. Its not, nor will it be a show car while I own it at least not until my retirement. I don't want to do any damage in case the next owner want to return it to stock but like the shifter I am not sure I am going to spend money putting it back.

Yeah, I don't like the driver side position anyway, the belt bounces too much!
