Default Fire Sale Project..My 69 base model convertible

I am moving forward (slowly) with my project. I bought this last summer, but I had to shove it in the corner for a while. I had to finish and sale a Nova before I could get started on the Camaro.

Now that the Nova is gone. I have started to tear the Camaro apart, and collect a few parts. I can't deside how far I want to take it apart! Here are a few pics!

That'll keep you outta trouble for a while. Was the fire damage pretty much kept to the front part of the car? You and Scooch have something in common, his 69 has been "flame treated" too.

yea man.... some of that looks Sooooooo familiar. its amazing the amount of rust that Fire causes. and the longer it sits the more it pits the metal. thank god for Ospho!

I look forward to seeing your progress Mshep.

Good luck with rebuild. It's nice to see another one being resurrected and not sent off to the scrape heap.

The fire was mostly firewall forward. Most of the plastic pieces in the dash were damaged from the heat. I have the whole front of the car and the dash taken apart. I took the door panels off last night. I wish I could have talked the lady into selling me the car before the fire! This thing is clean!

I have been hoping to find the build sheet. No luck, so far! I'm thinking I should go ahead and take the rest of the car apart and paint the whole car before I start to reassemble it. I didn't want to get this deep, but... Might as well jump in with both feet I guess.

I picked up a 12 bolt last week! It's a 331 non posi. How do I tell what it came out of. I measured it. Its from a Camaro or Nova. The number on the axel tube is:
BM0912G1

Let me know if you need more info from the housing to determine the year and or car it is from. Thanks
