68 Build and Info
Hey all, another noob here. So this is the second time that a 68 Camaro has crossed my path, but this time I had the cash to get it (Hundo to purchase). I have been doing some research for the car, trying to see what it may have started life out as. It needs a lot of work, but some things have been started on it. It has a full new floor pan, trunk pan in it. May need some work to get them in place better, and needs to have the rear frame rails reinstalled. So far I know the car started with a V-8, had black standard bucket seats. There are disc brakes on the front, but I have no idea if it was a mono leaf, or multi leaf pack. I'm pretty sure it has a 10 bolt rear end (10 bolts on the diff cover), but I haven't opened the differential yet. One thing that is strange to me is, the side marker lights are not there, unless some one covered them up, they just aren't there. It was a Sequoia Green originally. The original motor and trans are gone, so not sure if it was an auto or manual originally. All the glass is there, tail lights look to be from a RS/SS/Z28, but there are no locations in the rear valance to mount. They may just be from another car, but I am just curious what the car came with. Is the any other location on the car I can look at to see what trim it may have came with? Other than the firewall tag, I haven't seen anything. Plus I need to get it off the trailer and emptied out so I can look throughout the car as well. I have looked at CRG's website for some info and chevy-Camaros website as well. Any info would be great. But here are some pictures I have of it for now.

Are you sure it's a '68 and not a '67 with '68 doors?
'67's had no side markers like your car but had wing windows.
Have the rear quarter panels been replaced maybe?
Could be a '68 with a '67 front clip and rear quarters.

The cowl tag and title say it is a 68, but somewhere along the lines the front clip and quarters could've been changed. There is quite a bit of bondo on there. Or someone just tried to shave them off. Hopefully this weekend I can get into it a bit and see.
