Default Accelerator pedal differences??

Hi, I'm new to the site and am currently restoring (for the past 12 yrs) my 69 Camaro. I have to replace the clutch/brake assembly and install a auto brake pedal. During this process, I was thinking of sprucing it up and adding billet pedals. While searching for gas pedals, I found a cowl induction and without cowl induction gas pedal. Can anyone tell me the difference in these? I never really looked or noticed what I have. The previous owner changed the tranny (but never changed the pedal assembly) and I am trying to make everything match correctly. Thanks

Also, does anyone know if they make an all aluminum brake pedal assembly like the accelerator? So far, I've only seen the rubber pad replacements.

The arms are different. With the stock cowl induction hood setup, the gas pedal arm has a tab on the side to mount the electric switch, that activates a solenoid, which opens the cowl induction hood flapper when the gas pedal gets mashed to the floor.

Ok cool. So is that worth it or make a big difference? I have a cowl hood, but it is always "open" I guess.

You only need that style pedal if you still have, or want to have an operational hood flapper.
