Default 68 horseshoe shifter question

We are putting a 68 Camaro horseshoe shifter in a 72 Chevy truck with a custom console. What is the height of the shifter above the shift plate with the shifter in the vertical position (reverse I believe). I would appreciate the info!

Would someone with a 68-69 Camaro help me out with this! All I need is one response. Thanks in advance.

Sorry for the late answer to your question. I just joined. I hope this gets to you in time to use the information. My car with the shifter straight up is 5-1/4" from the top surface of the console to the top of the handle in the center of the arched handle.
