Worth Restoring?

Hi im kinda new with camaros and i have been searching for a 1st generation car to restore. What makes the restored car worth more? Restored exactly to the original or restored with new higher tech stuff? and will the money i spend restoring one be worth it if i turned around to sell it?

Most of the time original will win hands down unless maybe you have the talent of someone like Chip Foose.
Eventually new tech becomes old anyway and original is just that, original.
It's also easier to make a car stock than to customize it and probably less costly.
If you are looking to turn a profit, best of luck,it ain't easy.
If you are looking to build yourself a car that will hold it's value over time,go stock.

Depending on the condition of the project car there's the chance you'll never get back what you've put into it unless like Y2K said, you are a Chip Foose... build what you can best enjoy!!

you will never get back all the money invested. then if you add up the labor spent, it's a losing proposition. it's more about the passion and the journey, then it is about getting the money back

well yea i guess what i meant was what was best to hold the value more than selling for profit. thanks for your advice, im trying to see what i will get myself into lol
