Default Wheel Rub

Any help. Tire hitting fender...putting it back together after restoration and when i put the fender on hitting tires ,P235/60R15" TA's !!!
I have 2" drop spins and new stock springs.
Can I put in heavier springs and get away with these tires or are the tires just too big ?

Just remember, spring spacers are not a permanent fix.
If they do help, look into getting a heavier spring, like one for a big block car.
Then if it is too high, you can cut off a link or two.
The "old" saying used to be, 1 link equals an 1", but I'm not sure if that is totally accurate.

Bruce, Yeah might have to go big and cut uh ?!!
Right now I have Street Bandit Springs 12" free, 600 in lb. (High Spring Rate. Lowering Springs.) I think thats where i screwed up, lower part ??

How bad? How wide are your wheels and what is the back spacing?

Pretty bad !!! The car sits on tires. There 60's. I only need to lift a couple inches.

He does have a point.
If the back spacing of your wheels is too much, then it will push the tire/rim out into the wheel well opening more.
I think you need a heavier spring, but that is something you should check into.
Would be a benefit if you can find out what the spring rate is of your new springs to help in deciding which new spring to buy.
For my car, I use a Moog 6314, which has a rate of #289 and I cut off 1.5 coils. It sits my car down the way that I like with a big block, but I do just nip my front tires, which a 28" tall when I turn the steering hard.
They have for the Camaro, 6308 which is rated at #380, and then they have CS638, which is #328 and 6312 which is #337.
So knowing what you have would be a help to determine which one to try next.
