Whats a 1967 327 Worth?

Here's a third option to think about.
That engine can be worth a lot to the person who owns the 65 Vette that engine came out of.
Somewhere somebody could be wondering what ever happened to his original engine.
I don't know what state you live in as far as disclosure is concerned, but you might want to try and do some detective work. You might be able to find the owner by doing an online VIN search.
I own a couple of Vettes, and have been a Vette owner for many many years. I know how looney some guys can get about originality!
The owner of that 65 might give his left nut, first born, and even his wife in exchange for your engine. The value of the car can differ greatly between having the original engine and not.
For your info, the VIN for that Vette would be either:
Coupe - 194375S117687 or
Convertible - 194675S117687
Wouldn't that be a pisser if you contacted the owner and said "guess what"?

Here are a couple of VIN search sites, however they require a small fee.

Keep in mind, for all you know the Vette could have been scrapped years ago. Or the engine could have been pulled back in the seventies or eighties when "matching numbers" wasn't as much of a consideration as it is now. So it's hard to say why your car ended up with it.
Pull the valve covers off and get the head casting numbers from them as well.
