Default Odd trim help!

So I recently picked up this 68 with 3 peice trim in the middle of the car. This is something I have not seen before so I am guessing this was put on by someone to protect the side from getting dings. But I honestly don't know if it was an option or aftermarket, anybody know?

Those are door guards .They keep to the damage to a minimum from door dings. They are a dealer and or body shop installed iten.

A sunroof and body side rubber moulding, previous owner must have shopped at JC Whitney. But for that finishing touch, where are the curb feelers? lol
