Default What engine should I put in it?

Just bought a 67 camaro and has a barely running 6 cyl. I am thinking of building a 427 with aluminum heads on a stand while I get the cyl running enough to go back and forth to the body shop.

What motor would everyone suggest? I am open to ideas still. I just got my car delivered from the east coast today.

I will have a lot of questions on suspension if I actually go with a big block.

I found a 454 that was already built that came with a TH400 and all the brackets, alternator, radiator and even wheels from a guy in Beverly Hills that was going in a different direction on his Chevelle so I bought it all for 2k. It still had the break in oil and fired right up. I needed all the stuff he included for my 6cyl conversion. Now that it runs I can move on to the convertible top. I will address possible aluminum heads and aluminum water pump later as this motor is HEAVY. Very fast but Heavy.

Help if anyone can!!!
I am putting a Transpak into my th400 and it calls for pushing in the boost valve to remove the snap ring. Well now the boost valve wont come out of where i pushed it in. It is JAMMED up .. real bad. I thought it got cocked in there or something so I tapped on one side..nothing.
I really dont want to remove my trans, as I dont have a lift.
HOW DO I GET IT OUT NOW?
I was even thinking of just putting the snap ring back and forget the whole shift kit. But its still gonna be jammed.

Buy a cheap trans jack adapter from Harbor Freight and remove the trans and do it right .You will have peace of mine knowing you don"t have to worry if it's right , or ruining your trans. Not that big of a job.
