Un-restored 1967 Camaro
 

My friend bought this 1967 one owner California car and we are trying to find the value of it. I was hoping you guys could help. My friend bought it from this 87 year old gentleman who originally bought it here in Southern California. It was always garage kept.The guy loved his Camaro but he was just getting to old to keep it. We have the original bill of sale and the handbook and Protecto Plate. The only thing I found that was none original is somewhere in it's life 6X9 rear speakers were added. My friend says 26 to 27. I believe this car has Provenance and could sell for 34 to 35.

I think you might be a little high on your estimates. I think it may sale at 20K but it would not be fast.

The question you need to ask is who is going to buy it? There are two types of people that buy high end cars Collectors and People who Show cars. Collectors are looking for rare cars. A 67 RS with the base 327 does not count as rare. Sure they would not mind having an unrestored 67 RS I just don't see it going 30 grand. Now if it was a 350 RS\SS 30K might be possible, 45-50 if it was a big block. Show people are not going to pay big money because it would need all redone Just the damage shown on the door right above this post would be enough to make this car not a show car. Also the RS pacage should have come with RS rimes. This car is missing the original rims.

If this car had gone on sale in 2007 you may have hit the 30K but the price of cars was insane back then and anyone that bough a car is in the hole now.

IMO. I think that it could be worth up to $25K based on it's condition and the paperwork. But more likely, the car would sell closer to $20K.

Sorry, no guess on the price, but what a good looking car. I say keep it and enjoy it.

I wish it was mine to keep. But my friend owns it and he buys and resells cars for a living. Usually he buys cool American cars and ships them over to Finland (his home country) and sells them for a nice profit. Most of the cars he sells I could care less about until he bought this one. One owner 45 year old Camaros are (to me anyway) extremely rare. That's why I got you guys involved, I was hoping to prove to him that this car could sell at a better price than he can get in Finland. He has a Finnish buyer right know that wants to give him 28K for it. It just riles the hell out of me that this beautiful survivor of American automaking is going to go to some guy in Finland.

I want to thank you all for your well thought out responses. I was hoping you Camaro guys could support my argument that this car is more valuable in America. To bad it's wasn't a SS. I guess it is what it is. Thanks again guys. :icon_toast:

My dad sold his '68 stingray to a guy from Finland a couple of months ago. They pay insane money to get these cars.

Really nice for an unrestored car...my guess would also be in the lower $20K range, but ya never know...it's obviously been cared for over the past 45 years.
