tubbing my 68
i want to tub my 68 but i dnt want to get a new rear end is it better to shorten it(will it still run strong [12bolt 3.73gears]) or would it be best to get a new rear end? and i still wanna have my bench seats would....what should i do? est price?

If you want to keep your back seat, then you can use mini tubs and get away with minor seat modifications. You're also going to need to modify your rear frame. Then you could use wheels with more back-spacing. But, if you're going after the pro street look, you're talking big tubs, 4-link suspension (or coil over, etc.), and losing your back seat completely. No idea on cost to install them, best to talk to a shop near you for that.

my dad has his car fully tubbed and still has a full backseat in his car, but im not sore of all the specs and what not but i know he has a full narrowed frame under his car

You can tub them fully and keep a backseat, but it requires a good upholstery shop to rework the seat frames behind to clear the tubs. My neighbor also has a '69 ragtop with folding rear seat and full tubs that clears after mods.
