Default Trying to identify engine

Hey guys,
I recently purchased a `69. I'm trying to identify the engine that came with it, and I have to say, I'm confused.

Casting number is: 3914638 which I found saying it was 68-69 327
ID Number: T0429DH which from what I can find has 3 options
DH 1958283 Powerglide 250 FI VetteDH 1965283 Powerglide 220 4 ChevelleDH 1968307 Powerglide - - full size

What in the world do I have?! Any suggestions?

You more than likely have a 307 there. Although casting # 3914638 comes up as a 327, so does it for a 307. I've heard that GM used those castings (underbored) to build some 307's. Is that so? The DH suffix code on your block seems to support it, as that stands for a 1968 307 with a powerglide. The other DH codes are for a 1958 and 1965 283, but those don't mesh with the casting #.

Could try this link.

http://www.mortec.com

I have used this successfully in the past, although I just tried it and it said it was temporally off line and to try again later. Good Luck

Mortec has been "temporarily" off line for months now.
