transmission dipsticks
I just finishedthe engine in my 67 vert, but i have lost my transmission dip stick in the process. I have been to every parts store in my town and both salvage yards to only come across only one but i was too long ( hit the bottom of my pan and still needed room to go). I have been looking at the Lokar flexiable ones in summit but i cant decide how long i need it to be. does anyone have an answer for me?
also i have been looking at the electronic exhaust cutouts and i keep hearing they dont last long. has anyone messed with them at all?

RE: transmission dipsticks
With the Lokar, most are flexible I think? At least the one I have for my 1st Gen is. If they have choices for length get a some rope and a friend, or a section of small brake line, and run a mock-up of where you want it, then when you have a length you'll know what to buy.
and the electric exhaust cutouts, most I've seen are done in after a few years. Rust, binding, just plain stuck.

Lokar should be 100% fine. what kind of pan do you have that the other one hit the bottom?
I've never everheard of that. once your tranny is full, you could always trim the bottom of the stick and scribe your own lines too.
