Torque figures needed

Default Torque figures needed

Hi, part way through total restoration of my '69 b ut need torque figure for the front hub nut, just cant find it anywhere. i have workshop manuals but they cover mainly body etc. Could use ant torque figures tbh. Thanks, Radders UK

Not sure if the hub nut has a torque spec. Spin the rotor while tightening the nut, when the rotor starts to bind up back off some on the nut and put the cotter pin through the stud. Make sure the rotor does not have any play in it by wiggling it back and forth.

snug it up till stops as in above post then back it off 3-4 holes and pin it!

Here's the proper way to set the bearing load. Bolt your wheel/tire onto the hub, and give it a spin clockwise while torquing the nut to 12 ft. lbs. Back the nut off ONE FLAT (1/6 of a turn) and insert the cotter pin. If the holes don't quite line up when backing off one flat, back the nut off a little more till it does.
