Default Tamraz's stinger hood

I have Tamraz's fiberglass stinger hood going on my camaro as part of the rebuild. I'm wondering if anyone has pictures of this hood installed with the front of the scoop cut out like an old big block corvette? The problem I see is that the hood is molded with the front flat, and I want to open it up, but not sure how it would look. I would think the bottom of the stinger would need to be extended to run under the top so it doesn't look like a big gaping hole. Here's a pic of what it's like now and the part I'm talking about removing.

And here's a BB vette hood that I'm talking about

Thanks,

I'm not sure the vettes came with the stingers open at the front. IIRC they had a chrome and black bezel laid in the front that gave the appearance that it was open.

they were not open in the front they had a piece of trim that went into the front that made them look like they were open.

Kind of curious to see how this is going to look on a Camaro. A friend of mine put one on his '71 Nove and it looked good. The Camaro has different lines so I will wait to see it installed before passing judgement

I got a good pic of the project American hero's car that I think shows it cut out, which I think I'm going to do. You can see it here :

I think it looks fine open but it may suck in some serious water if you were to get caught in the rain.

I forgot they did that hood. I'm not a fan of it on the Camaro, but that's just me

As far as water goes...... Any functional hood has that possibility so it's no big deal. Don't let that stop you

it would be cool to try and make that opening work like a factory cowl hood with the giant hood gasket or something like that just my opinion on it though. it will be cooler though to have it open so the motor is getting a bit more fresh air.
