I have wondered the same thing because I will be needing to put new SS emblems on new fenders really soon. I would ask Rick's First Gen for sure... so far they seem to have THE answer for everything that I've had come up. If they dont know they can usually steer you in the right direction. That is if you dont have someone here put you on the info... there are alot of people on here with alot of experience. Good luck.

You can buy a template kit that marks the exact location of all SS emblems. In fact, I have a brand new template set for a '68 SSthatI was going to list on ebay for about $15.

You might want to think about buying a 'Factory Assembly Instruction Manual'. Everything you will need to know about where things went and what it looked like is in there. I would be able to help but mine is for a 69 and it only shows the Z29 and RalleySport emblems. Check ebay, or rick's for one.

thanks 1stgenssclone, I have gotten the interior completely gutted, the entire front end off the car and the motor/tranny pulled. I had planned on media blasting the firewall and painting it back on new years but the weather kinda messed me up. I'm sure you saw my progress on my thread. Once I get that done I can start putting the motor back in and get it fired up. I made a decision that this was more important than the interior right now. Thanks for your comment, I need all the encouragement that I can get, it's a bigger task than I thought when I took it on but I am kicking butt and taking names so far.

Can some just measure their spacing from the camaro emblem down to the ss emblem and give him the distance he needs.

here are the ss emblem location measurements
under the camaro emblem.
1 3/16 below the fender moulding line to the center of the SS emblem.
8 9/16 from the end of the fender/door opening to the center of the SS emblem
good luck
