SB Valve Cover Identification

1 Attachment(s)
What years were these covers used on? Came on a 69 SS/RS I have never seen them on a Camaro. Not sure what the weld on brackets are used for.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

They were used for holding the wire looms that went over the valve covers. Can't remember what year/model those were on. I've had them on 'later model blue' engines.

Yes, they are plug wire holders. Don't know the year.

Re: SB Valve Cover Identification
Smog era. They used to run both plug wires as well as the wires for A/C temp idiot light and alternator along the top of the valve covers. Any emissions equipment (EGR, AIR, and Spark would help tell you when). But then all you need do is look at the Engine ID pad to get the build date, plant, displacement (it could be a 305 or a 265), horsepower rating, type of carb, transmission when it left the factory, as well as the car or light truck it was installed in.
