Is this normal? The gap behind the tag?

That thing needs a little bit of work.
Are you talking about the gap on the lower part of the trim tag?
With what looks like scratches on the firewall, and an outward bend on the tag, it appears as though somebody may have pried the tag out a little in the middle. Why, who knows. You can tap it back in gently with a hammer and block of wood.
And what's the story with the red Vette next to the Camaro?

Haha all I can say is that I've seen worse! Haha Ik, it needs some work, but I'm willing. I can see potential. The corvette's frame is junk.

But we picked this up for 500 bucks... Its got a v8 block and crank in the back seat. (could be a 350, 327, 305, idk). Its got a fiberglass drag style hood (pins). The bad is it needs (from what I've seen) New front fenders (both sides ) A new header peice, and floor boards.

I have the exact same L88 style hood sitting in my storage shed. I hate to cut a hole in it, but it's gonna happen......sooner or later!
Yours is a pin-on hood? It looks like a weight-on type!

We got a wise guy huh vinny? Lol, jk. My newest issue... This car does not have steering linkage. It has a steering wheel and column, but from the firewall out it has nothing to turn the wheels with... Suggestions please.

1) Don't drive it that way! (you asked for it) Lol, jk.
2) Go parts shopping on ebay.
3) Put the parts on.
