Default RUST

So I am starting to restore my 69. It did not look like there was a lot of rust. HA.... It really is not that bad for a car that is almost 40 years old and has never been restored. My question for the pros on this site is. What do you do about rust around the windshield channel? I have a few small rust holes in the front window and the rear window. To me it does not seem like I should replace the whole roof for a few small holes.

Any input would be greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks,
Ryan

I am replacing the whole thing. 1. I can afford it. 2. I know it will be done and I wont have to worry about rust living under bondo or fiberglass or whatever the shop decides to put there. I am going to try to do it myself to keep the cost down. The other way is to sand it down, get some bondo and go that route. The places you escribed are typical, I would be surprised to find rust everywhere else though. How do the pans look, trunk?

I have the whole car apart. All the rust that I was waiting to find never seemed to show up. The trunk pan is like new. It still has the original paint and not a spot of rust. I do need floor pans though but I was aware of that before I started. The frame and sub frame are straight and clean. I am just worried about the rust that I talked about earlier. I have all the time in the world but would like to get going. If anyone else has any suggestions on what to do to fix the fust behind the glass fire away.

Thanks

I hate to even suggest this but if you're going to fix it without doing it 100% correct (replace the panel), use Marglass instead of Bondo or fiberglass
