Default Replacing a rocker panel...

Anyone have any tips on replacing a rocker panel? I looked at all of the welds on mine and doublechecked them... I am going to weld a bace in about 4-5 inches above it in the door jam but other than that I am gonna start drilling here soon...

Any advice?

Thanks!

The only advice I can give you is "Take your time". Don't be in a rush to finish. I work on a very limited schedule and go slowly through the process and often double and triple check things before I commit. And still, I look back now and it's amazing how quickly things seemed to have come together.
Of course if I had a decent budget, I could get the work done sooner mainly because I could buy replacement parts instead of fixing th e ones I have. But hey! That's half the fun.
The trick is to stick to it. Too often, the project motivation drops and the car sits for years... until someone comes along and says, "Hey! You want to sell that old car?"

Take your time and enjoy it.

In 3 months I went from a complete wreck to a fully primed car.

Thanks Johnny, is there anything that I should do other than brace it across the door? Is bracing even necessary?

BTW your car looks like it is coming along nicely!!!

I don't think you need to brace the doors for just rocker replacement. If you have the doors off.. maybe. You can do it to be safe. The rockers are really not much of a support panel as they are hiding the body connections and filling in the body lines.
