has anyone seen what one sold for

out of the 25,000 more then half were 10 bolt cars

so ideally this car is one of maybe 6000 ever existed
What is the value when done
yes not an ss or z28 its actually more rarer lol but not cool i get it..but with limited numbers i wonder how much its worth when done.

Pretty had to put a number on it especially not knowing what "done" means exactly.
What are the plans for it?
Typically they sell in the $25K to $50K range depending on what model and options some rare and special cars more of course.

id expect to fetch big money only cause 6000 or so cars were made with 12 bolt. Correct me if im wrong

its l65 69 camaro. Only 25000 were made and only few were 12 bolt majority are 10 bolt cars

What engine is it?Every SS, Z28 and High output 327 manual shift car (LM7) came with a 12 bolt. That’s close to 60,000 12 bolts right there. Not sure where you got only 6000 were made. You are way over valuing the 12 bolt option. A single option like that is interesting but not super valuable. Without the original trans in there you have killed that factor original value. Your 12 bolt car is worth about $1500 more than one that came with a 10 bolt.

The l65 is 350 the motor and is the matching number
the trans isnt
but the rear end is and thats 1 of 6000 cars built maybless .. hard to over value that cause its very rare to have that especially when over 25,000 were made and 95 percent are 10 bolt

the rear end only few were offered and only offered first couple months
so hindsight 6,000 cars sold 3 months is guesstimate its pretty rare option

transmission is trans the 12 bolt and the motor is what bring the money
Nobody ask if the trans matches lol if anything it was plus they upgraded it


basically this car was built like an ss 350 minus the engine hp
sure same motor as lm1 but minus the intake and carb lm1 pop outs 255 hp.. this car no hp was ever rated..so its hard to say put some people say 250 cause the car carb and intake.. are less performance but no accurate numbers

were talking a 1 year car only 3 month offered 12 bolt rear end.
January the lm1 ended and l65 took its place suppose to be gas friendly v8 base car.. but no accurate numbers.of anything on this car but with all sport options avilable came standard with 5 leaf springs


with knowing this .. how much do you think it will bring when done

so far the bid 6100.00 far less then what the reserve is but it has clean title

I agree with Gorn. To someone looking for a numbers matching car, a matching number transmission is just as important as the rest of the drivetrain. Low production numbers of an option doesn't always mean higher value. The 12 bolt axle option is nice to have, but I think the popularity of the engine/trans combo to a numbers matching buyer will have more effect on price than what axle is in the car.

The reason matching numbers adds value is because it could one day be an all original show car, Most people will not mess with a matching numbers cars but once something is gone it custom time. I have been dealing in Camaro even at auction for 30 years. I find it very hard to believe that 350 2 barrel rated at 250 hp (By CRG) is worth as much as a L30/M20 12 bolt which is worth less then L48 which is worth less the a big block which is worth less then a Z28.


A lot of people think rare options means big money, I have never seen that to be true unless it rare option on the right car. Shoulder belts and disk brakes on a L78 car means rich people are fighting over it. I don't think there are a lot of rich guys laying in bed dreaming of owning a 350 2 barrel car because it came with a 12 bolt rear.

No need to argue if you have it up for sale, the definition is value is what people are willing to pay for it so you will know.

When its finished or done value is not really a good question. As said above finished how? Are we talking a 100 near perfect car? That is a 8K paint job topped off with perfect chrome almost perfect looking bolt heads, factory spot welds all the in factory location ect. All that done by well known shop it could be a 60k car. Joe down the street does it and he is "good with cars" its a 20K car. Don't get to excided about the 60K number because that is a 60-80k restoration bill. Full Concord type restorations on non-high end cars tend to be losers.

If the car is valuable when complete you will had bidders coming out of the wood work. there are tons of restoration shops looking for cars to flip for a profit.

I too agree with Gorn, BUT it is your car and you can believe what you want
you will see the true value of your car through the auction
