Thanks for all the compliments everyone. Yep I bought it in Texas. I cant wait to get back to the states so I can drive it. So it seems like torque thrust is winning. What do you guys think of this wheel? They look alot like the tt's but they cost less. that way I can spend money on other things like lowering it.

Go with what you like not what we like. Im sure these stock 14 inch wheels would not be popular in a poll but I like them.

What is the width of the wheels you have and what size tires are you running? Did you have any rubbing or clearance issues?

Ok so I decided on a wheel/tire combo. I'm going with the Polished Ridler 675's (Wheelsforless - Custom Wheels - R675-7861P - Polished 675 17x8 5/4.75 - Vintage Wheels - Wheelsforless) 17x7's with 235/40/17 tires on the front, and 17x9.5's with 275/40/17 tires on the back. I'm going to swap out the leaf springs and lower it 2" in the back and swap the coils and lower it about 1" in the front since the back already sits so much higher than the front. I think that will look pretty good.

i like the ones u have if you can make them work...maybe just a little lower. they convey a throw back torque thrust look. keep a set of old school rims/tires to swap out when u feel the urge. I've been searching for a modern throw back for a while now but can't pull the trigger. The problem with modern rims...choices, which style will stand the test of time. There's always going to be some authority critic that will tell u ur rims are all wrong for ur car. It's easier going old school, less decisions...less regret later.

Ok so I found out why it is sitting so high in the back. My Dad went and picked the car up and took it home yesterday and inspected it further. It has old school leaf spring shackle extensions on it. I guess a previous owner wanted to jack up the rear end for some bigger tires. Once he gets them off of there for me, it should be sitting alot nicer. Once I see how it sits, Ill make a determination on getting new wheels right now. Who knows, I might really like the way it looks once its lower.
