New to the forum and looking for a 1969 Camaro
Hey everyone!
I am new to the forums and am looking for a hobby/muscle car. My grandfather, father and myself are interested in a 1969 Camaro (my father had one). I have been checking Craigslist, eBay and locally (South Jersey). We just got the idea to look for one and are not too sure yet if we just want to buy a car that is fairly completed and fix the rest ourselves, or buy a frame and work our way up. I have two questions. First, does anyone know where I may be able to find some form of a 1969 Camaro for not too too much money (someone selling one, new places or websites to look at)? Also, has anyone ever done business or know anything about Universal Auto Sales And Classic Cars in Linthicum, MD? I came across their website and it looks like them has some reasonably priced, nice compeleted vehicles.
Thanks in advance and keep up the great work on your cars!

I was bored, and checked out south jersey for some maros, found this, no pic, but it sounds like something you might be looking for. Good price too.

You might want to do a little more research about what a unibody is.

Unless I missed something all the cars I saw listed are cars that are already restored. Not project cars
this is a project car

You can buy just about everything new except the title (and the air duct from the cowl to the astro-vent). The question is how much do you want to pay?
Get a good solid tub/unibody as that is the most expensive part to buy new. If it has a good straight subframe that will help a lot, too. Your best bet is to find a solid driver AZ/CA/NV car, not from the coastal cities, and start from there. The money you think you will save in not flying to Phoenix or Vegas and shipping a car home from there will more than be made up for in repairs you'll need to make to a local NJ car.

i agree with what you said hkunz. thanks!
i went to look at "the project car" that Gorn mentioned above. it had a lot of rust and would need some major work, in my opinion. we didn't even check out the frame.
thanks again for all the help and if you happen to see one, please let me know. i hope to be on here with a camaro within a year!

This is just a sample. There is everything from the full-on numbers matching complete resto to the simple fixer-upper to the "SS clone" with a 327 LOL.
Enjoy!
