i have a 1967 rally sport 327 and it dies at stops or sometimes while its idle. in order for me to keep it going i have to step on the brake and give it gas while it's stopped... what can i do to fix this problem? is it the carb? i just changed all the spark pulgs. does it need to be timed? it seems like its working too hard or suffocating even with a full tank. help!

Welcome to the forums. Do you have a fuel smell? The problem could be any one of the things you listed. Start with the timing as its the least invasive, then move to the carb. Might just need a good shot of carb cleaner. Also check the hoses, vacume lines more specifically. fuel filter too.
