Default Need help on seat decision

My 67 is in need of an interior restoration. Its gold deluxe interior that I am changing to black. But my dilemma is whether or not I should go with buckets or the original bench seat. I have been told a bench seat is kind of rare but not too sure on that. I have a set of buckets for it sitting around, but I also dont mind the bench seat seeing as both upholstery kits are the same price. Any opinions are welcome. thanks

Yes that bench seat option is rare! Somewhere I have the production numbers for that option, but whoever told you was correct. If you would rather have the buckets installed than do it. It's your car! But keep the bench seat in case you ever want to put it back original or sell the car.
Pics would be nice

The base seats were buckets. RPO AL4, Strato-Back (bench) seat was an option. Out of a total 220,906 1967 models, 6,583 (3%) came with the bench seat option. Less common at the time and more rare now because the bench seat option wasn't a very popular one. I would stash the bench seat away for a rainy day, only if yours is an all original car, with build paperwork to back up the option. 1967 Camaro RPO Codes

Keep the bench, that way your sweetie can sit right next to you.

It is the factory seat, as i am only the third owner and I spoke with the original owner and he ordered it that way so his kids could ride with him. I will take pictures later today..I know it seems like pretty rare option, but is it a desirable rare? I was just trying to decide since I have a set of buckets and the bench. Might just keep the bench in it

Since you can trace the car back to the original owner, I'd keep the bench seat. Either in the car or in your house, but I wouldn't want to get rid of it.
