Guys I need your help. I have a 68 SS and I was at a local car show last weekend. I noticed that two other Camaros a 68 and a 69 had a nice dress up chrome plate that covered the area between the front of the engine bay and the radiator. It fit over the hood latch and was held in place by the hood bumper adjust bolts. One was chrome with Camaro engraved on it and the other was black with SS on it. Does anyone know what this is called and where I could find one. Thanks,Curtis.

 

If I get what you're talking about NPD calls it a closeout panel, Theirs is larger than I care for but I found a black panel on ebay over a year ago though I've not seen them for sale there for some time. It really cleans up the appearance of the engine compartment. Good luck finding yours!
