Default My 1st car

My 1st car was a 69 RS SS 396 Camaro. Boy wouldn't it be nice to say I still have that car. Well I can.
I am in Southern California and starting to shop for a shop. Looking for a complete resto. I want the best shop for obvious reasons. Looking to go original with the exception of motor and suspension and maybe a few other items. What say you boys?

Nice, did you buy your 69 new? And cool that you still have it. What are your non-original plans for the engine and the rest? Being an original big block RS/SS (I'm assuming matching #'s), for value reasons I'd keep the original engine in it. If going a different route, don't get rid of the 396 but stash it away.

Come on guys. Where's the Camaro shops? Drag car Larry Minor has a nephew in Anaheim "Mac Speed and Custom". Anyone deal with them?

Since I'm on the right coast I can't tell you about any shops close to you. Do a search on the web and do some investigating about the one/s you do find. I'm sure there will be some close to you or at least in a reasonable distance. Please give us a "before" pic and keep us posted.
And don't get rid of the original engine! A matching # car is much more valuable then one that isn't and don't make any mods that can't be changed back. If you do decide to swap out parts (i.e. control arms, spindels etc.) be sure to keep the originals in case you ever want to put it back to original. If you don't, you will be sorry later.
Good luck on your project! Can't wait to see the pics
