the last auction I went to recently, the highest priced musclecar was a 1966 tri-power GTO that was at $89k when I walked out of the room.

the highest car overall was a yellowFerrari 430 that went for $242k

 

Last year Reggie Jackson was at the Mecum auction and I undestand that Jay Leno was somewhere in the audience. Last year a Shelby Cobra Dragonsnake went for $1.5M - it was featured in an Elvis Presley movie. A number of cars had their reserves dropped so many of them moved. There were also some deals to be had.

2 years ago a lime green 1970 hemi cuda with like 7,000 original miles went for $720K or so.
