Good luck, correct year.
Welcome to the club.
You could hire a private eye to find her.

without a vin number you will have a very hard time finding. is the dealer still in business?

so many cars got crushed in the 80s to early 2000s,perfectly good bodys on most ,an that car could have been one of them ,only could hope it lives on in another car ,or through parts for other cars ,,most older cars left are something someone saved in there own say private yard, good luck ,but i think it slim to known, during that time anything could have been crushed ,if someone did not put it to the side

We used many of those year Camaros for dirt track cars !!

Without the Vin how would you know it? Most of these cars that have survived have had 2-3 restorations. The chance that a non-SS 3rd or 4th owner car from a northern state lasted 40+ years without one restoration? You are talking loto statistics.

Just find one that as close as you can get it and pretend it the same one.

I like your answer Gorn, lol. Like others said, without the VIN you are most likely SOL. I would like to find our old 67 my wife and kids make me regret getting rid of. So instead I bought a 67 RS project car for my wife this Christmas. That shut them up. :)

If you have the vin could the DMV do a check? They may be able to tell you the last registered owner?

That used to the a common practice but federal privacy laws have made it illegal for the DMV to give out that information. Obviously police can still track it and some private detectives. Papa John (the pizza guy) found his old car with a 1/4 million dollar reward and it still took over a year to find it.

The only poster what has had success that I am aware of is a guy that used a private detective, be he knew the vin and the car was had a current registration.
