Default I have a 1968 Z28 motor

I just pulled this thing out of another car I'm building and I was wondering what the value of it might be. it is a rebuilt motor. any ideas guys

how complete is it? the value would depend on how much of the original 302 stuff is there.

no the 68 is a mo code block and it should be a 2 bolt main

3 codes for the 68 302 actually; MI, MO, and yes....DZ (late production models).

Good question. I'm curious if maybe it was an engine availability thing with the DZ. Could be GM was already stocking up the DZ engines for the upcoming 69 model, but used it on some 68's. Searching for a 68 DZ 302 turns up anything from "it was only a 69 engine", to "it was a late 68-69 engine". Since GM has been known more than once to use leftover previous model parts on next year early models till the parts run out, to make early run models unique, I don't find it unbelievable that they could have done it the other way around.

thanks for the quick responses guys. the motor is complete, its just missing the carbs, fuel pump, and water pump
