how much should my 68 go for??
im new to this forum but me and my father do own a 68 camaro RS. this camaro doesnt run or start.it does turnover fine and body is in decent shape... main concerns are the floor panels rotting away and the motor itself which is a 327 or a 350.i am hoping to sell it.ive gotten offers of 700 and 850$ tht doesnt seem right it is a rare car im told.and it does have potential .i was also told tht this car can be sold as a parts car for over 1000$ wat should i sell this for? or reasonable offers i should recieve?

Where you live has a lot to do with it. Where I am at in PA it would be assumed that a car that looks like that needs floors and a trunk. If it was what I concider repairable I would give you 2K for it right now. I know there are guys out there that will pay more.
BTW the car in the pic is NOT an RS. If it was a real RS my offer would be 3K and that would still be a low ball.
The RS has hidaway headlights. Looks like the car below but with a RS in the grill instead of the SS

I would check the V.I.N. and Cowl Tag and research what exactly the car is, including whether or not it's a true RS. It will also identify what trim it had, what color it was originally, etc, etc. Next, I would check to see what motor is in it and whether or not it is original. See how much of the drivetrain is numbers matching. You could even hire a classic car appraiser if you wanted. If it is an all matching numbers car, you have a nice classic worth big bucks. If not, like someone else said, "it's still a '68 Camaro!" You don't see these at every used car lot for sale. Be patient and I'm sure you will get a decent dollar for it. Good luck!

Here's a good link to go to in regards to looking everything up. http://www.chevy-camaro.com/chevy-ca...tag-decode.asp
I was talking to my mechanic about a '68 project car and he said $2000 to $3000 would be sufficient. Double that for an all numbers matching car. Just thought I would let ya know. Good luck!
