Hello I am new to this forum. I am interested in getting a price for this car. I am very interested in getting a first generation camaro. I am looking at a current add and would like to ask what you think the lowest resonable price i could offer for this car. Thanks.

I wouldn't throw in an offer until you ran the numbers on the vin plate. Have him provide some proof of it being numbers matching or a pace car. It may have had a lot of work done to it but it sure looks like it needs a ton more. If you're not worried about numbers matching but want an original correct '69, I just listed mine for sale here in NY. Let me know if you're interested. Thanks.

Friend of mine bought a '69 convetible that is pretty straight, but no engine or trans and had to pay $12,000 for it. Needs a new paint job like the one you're looking at. Unless the seller can somehow document it as a numbers matching Pace Car version, you need to just look at it as a '69 convertible project and pay accordingly.

The trim tag will tell if it's a pace car or not. It may have a Z11 (Indy pace car) code, unless it's a CA built car. It will also have the #50 (Dover white) paint code, and #720 orange houndstooth (pace car only) interior code. Also, all pace cars were RS/SS models, so they came with either a 350 sb, or 396 bb. If that 350 in it is indeed numbers matching, you know for sure it's an SS. The trim tag will tell the rest.
