Hi All, New to this site! Question: Parking lights 1967 Camaro
Hi All,
I'm new to this site.
I hope everyone is having a good Saturday night!!!
When I turn on the headlights to my 1967 Camaro the parking lights turn off..is this normal??? Also my turn signals do not work, I have changed the bulbs and the flasher switch. The Emergency flashers work but the turn signals do not work!!!
Any suggestions on what to look for to make the turn signals work??
Thanks for your help on this subject...have a good day and may GOD Bless!!!
Thanks,
Po'Boy

I agree, it's more than likely a bad ground since the same thing happened to me. I chased mine for weeks and even replaced the turn signal switch and the light switch with zero results.
I finally found the bad ground in the front grill running light. It was hard to find because the socket grounds to the housing, and somehow that ground, even though it looked good just didn't pan out with an ohm meter and I didn't have any continuity between the socket and the housing.
Before you go that far, make sure that your ground straps from your front running lights are clean etc.
Good luck!

Glad I could help Po boy!
Ironically, I now have a dim headlight and a dim tailight.... time for me to find the bad ground. Now I know why people purchase new wire harnesses lol! I'm telling ya, your ohm meter is your best friend!
