Default Help 67 convertible question

Have a 67 convertible with power top. Am replacing a leaking driver's side cylinder. My question is how do I re-fill the main cylinder behind the back seat? Do I need to remove it and is the fill hole on the top? Installed it lays on it's side so I assume it can't be filled while in the car, or can it?
Also once filled, do I need to bleed out any air in the system?
Thanks. Any and all help is appreciated.

you can fill it with the pump installed in the car. i know i just did it earlier this week . what you need is some plastic hose that will fit into the hole on the side. then on the other end put your fluid and pour into the pump. you may have let air out at time. to bleed the air out of the system run the top up and down a few times and then put the top down all the way. then fill the pump up and it should be good to go.

By filling in the car by putting a hose in the "side" do you mean the "top" screw which when in the car is laying horizontal and pointing to the passenger side. Or do you mean by removing the hose on the side which is facing to the front of the car and filling there? Sorry for illiterate question but I want to do it right the first time.

there should be a rubber plug on the lett side of the pump (if you are inside the car not the trunk) pull that plug its not threaded and stick the hose there.

Thanks I see the plug BUT now I have a bigger problem. When I removed the cylinder I couldn't get the outside bolt out since it hits the body. Thought no big deal the cylinder came out so it should go back in right?. Wrong. No way can I slide the new cylinder in with that bolt there. Tried manually putting the top down a little to see if that moved the bracket enough to get it out. No Way. Even took out the bolt that holds the top frame to see if that would work. Yeh the bracket moves slightly but no where near enough AND now the top material is loose. AM I screwed?? Looks like it may be time to call in the pros.
There's a lesson here somewhere but I think I'm too dumb to find it.
