cold air intake.
 
do these guys do any good?? one of my friends said they add power, torque, and improve fuel mileage. i think thats true.

Cold Air kits can work with anything, fuel injected or carbed.

The whole idea behind them is to bring denser, colder air into the intake manifold, colder air will create more power. Look at a intercooler on a turbo, same idea, cool the air down. denser air, more fuel can be added, more power created.....to a point.

On most applications you won't see a dramatic increase.

How much power or torque you'll see all depends on the application, same with hoping for better fuel mileage, in most cases you won't see any increase in mileage, in fact, you could see a decrease since your adding more fuel to create more power.
