Default Chris's 69 resto project

Hey all,
Looking at putting the font end partially back together this weekend. After many hours of sandblasting and painting, I'm definatly ready to see it going back together. Here are some before, during and after pics of the A-arms.

Its dirty work but someone has to do it. What did you use to paint them?

Well, after a few hours worth of work, here are a few pics of the project. First pic is pre-assembly, then post. Original: frame and A-arms. New: grade 8 bolts for assembly, Hotchkis 2" lowering springs (no compression necessary for reassembly) new gas-adjust shocks, new 1" sway bar. All new graphite impregnated polyurethane bushings. Donor spindles until I spend the cash for a 4 disc brake set-up.

As for the paint, etching primer and rust-inhibitant semi-gloss black. I buy in bulk (gallon) and have my own air sprayer

Well,
Some update pics are well overdue. Here are a few of the finished flootpans, and the old left rear framerail and new. The new old is from Rick's first gen, and it looks like it will fit in with no banging around. It also looks like is ismade of thicker metal. More pics when I get it in.
