I assume you have gotten the bleeder open, but no fluid came out. Check your lines, starting with the rubber hose. It is rare but I have seen hoses collapse and not let fluid through. Disconnect it from the caliper and press the pedal.

This may sound dumb but I have to ask anyway... On my 67RS the front calipers will inerchange from left to right are your bleeders facing up? Years ago I tried for weeks to try and bleed my system off with the bleeders facing down till some old timer brought it to my attention!! They must be facing up or the aircan get caught up in the caliper.

A collapsed hosed can allow fluid through when the pedal is depressed. It will usualy not allow fluid to return causing the brakes to hold when the pedal is released.
Either leave the bleeder open until fluid comes out or have a helper open the bleeder while the other pushes on the pedal. Don't try to pump then open. Then close the bleeder before releasing the pedal. When you are alone a small plastic tubing from the bleeder into a jar of fluid works also.
