Easy answer, 0 mpg...there is no such animal!
1st Gen Camaro's didn't come with a v6, it was a straight 6.
And the SS was a performance option, so a true SS wouldn't even have a 6 cyl. in it.
But a "normal" v8 model should get close to 18 mpg on the highway. And with the 6, a little better.
Are you looking at one for sale that's badged as an SS, but with a 6 cyl engine in it?
Or are you just making a want list?

automatic transmission.....?????

Isnt this the ultra rare top secret experimental highreving 10k rpm orptioned nitromethane v6 with a factory blower and3 stagenitrous set up? Gets about an 1/8 of a mile to the gallon. Only 1 produced. Considered by GM brass to be a bit unconventional.

I am getting roughly the same MPG with my 350/330hp crate engine as I was with the original inline 250 6 cylinder......about 12 - 14 MPG..go figure...

without giving you a wise-*** answer, your question is pretty much impossible to answer. first off, there are no SS V-6's and secondly there are way too many variables even if there was one

it would be the same as someone coming on here and asking how many MPGs they can expect to get from a 350.

you're out of luck with this one. if you're worried about paying for gas, you need to stay away from older cars right now, because even a good running older V-6 is probably going to get worse mileage than a modern V-8

But gas is so cheap in the USA. I do ~400, 500km (250-310 miles) of driving in a week and these days it doesn't cost more than $40 a week in gas. (~20mpg in the Talon, btw)

And at most, gas in the USA is two-thirds the price here.
